For Vampiros, directed by Stillz, my work focused on the creative development and visual research that shaped the tone and universe of the project — a nocturnal love story between two immortal souls wandering through Barcelona.
From the start, the visual language drew inspiration from Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive and Gucci’s surreal campaigns, combining the poetic melancholy of eternal nightlife with fashion-forward irreverence. The reference point was not just cinematic — it was personal. I was born and raised in El Raval, and many of the textures, characters, and atmospheres came from my own memories of Barcelona’s underground nights: bars lit in green light, cigarette smoke curling in the dark, and the feeling that something strange and magical could happen at any hour.
One of those places, Absenta Bar, became a central location — a timeless corner of the city where myth and nightlife blur. The creative research explored this duality between mythology and modernity, building visual bridges between vampire folklore and the seductive rhythm of youth culture.
Working alongside Stillz and the team, we shaped a treatment that balanced symbolism and subversion — crucifixes turned into jewelry, garlic handled like a prop, reflections that never appear, and a morning after bathed in blinding light. Each choice contributed to an aesthetic narrative about identity, desire, and transformation.
Vampiros became more than a music video — it was a nocturnal portrait of Barcelona, and a personal homage to the city that raised me.
